A place of majestic beauty, clean blue rivers, waterfalls, lookouts over spectacular and varying scenery, and colourful history, North East Tasmania offers plenty of attraction for visitors.

The district features an assortment of Tea Rooms, Art and Craft galleries, Museums, Parks, Mountain Drives and River Walks.  Outstanding golf course nearby.  Enjoy horseriding and cycling, bushwalking,

The annual Targa Tasmania Rally goes right through the town, and you are just five minutes from Derby, home of the annual river derby held on the beautiful Ringarooma River, and ten minutes from friendly historic Branxholm.
Fishing Trout fishing:  Just 5 minutes to the nearest fishing dam.  Plenty of interesting spots to fish for a variety of other species.
Fossicking Fossick for gemstones amongst the many interesting geological formations in the Gladstone-Mr Cameron area.
Local Produce  Winnaleah is rich dairy country.  With rich red soil and an abundance of water, it's not surprising that it produces abundant vegetable crops. The produce from this area includes onions, carrots and potatoes.
